Oscars Rundown Production

Oscar's Rundown Task                                                                    Final product: Oscars Rundown

Firstly in lesson we started to talk about the Oscars and what it is, we also watched past Oscar's Rundowns to get a brief idea and inspiration for our own production. In the beginning we started with planning our basic idea for our production in lesson, we did this in teams of two and worked together to come up with a skit, each individual team came up with their own skit's these were placed at the beginning of everyone's production. Our team consisted of me and martin Cunningham, we both creatively put together our production whether that be production design or what we were going to talk about and how we were going to do it.

We decided that the best way to do it would be to talk about the film, then play a clip from the film to give the audience an idea of what we are talking about, and why were talking about it. After planning was completed we started to film,The first film we talked about was Nightmare Alley which was nominated for best picture, Nightmare Alley is a film which was beautifully edited and directed as a whole, it was clear why it was nominated.

Furthermore after we filmed we checked the footage made sure the audio was good and the quality was good enough to be put on YouTube, after reviewing the footage we started the edit, after the edit was completed we added a few bleeps in over the swearing so that it can be put on the U-films YouTube channel.

On our second video talking about the post oscars, we talked about the controverstional situation between Chris Rock and Will Smith, we also recreated the conflict between the two in our skit, at the very start with the use of the greenscreen in college that we took advantage of to make our production value increase, which also led to a more visually appealing video for the audience to enjoy.
