My Soundscape Task

Narrative: Listening and watching a rainstorm unfold outside of your home.

Things to create the noises needed:

Shower - Rain

Shower curtain - thunder

Side of bath - Loud bangs

I will achieve the narrative by making sure i film everything that needs to be filmed to create the soundscape i want to achieve.

Soundscape inspiration

Oldies music playing from another room and it's raining with thunders - 3 HOURS ASMR - YouTube

This video is what i want my soundscape to sound like but without the music and outside on the porch of your house.

Firstly i created the rain with the shower in my home, this was a pretty easy and straight forward task but it really did give the sound i was looking for, it sounded like really hard hitting rain this is exactly what i wanted because it is a rainstorm and to recreate the rain for a rainstorm it has to be hard hitting, heavy and something that you hear and wouldn't want to go outside in, but at the same time it can be quite relaxing and peaceful. The second sound i recreated was the thunder in the sky, i made the sound of thunder from swaying shower curtains in a almost ocean wave movement, this gave a pretty precise thunder sound that i was looking for, and i am glad that i could achieve this. The last sound i made was banging on the side of my bath whih gave the effect of things suh as bins in the street and other objects being thrown around. They were the sounds i recreated to give the effect of a real rainstorm, overall i think it went pretty well, the outcome was great and it sounded how i wanted it to sound, i did want to create other sounds, for example cars beeping and alarms going off but they were a bit unrealistic since i live on a populated road, but it didn't really matter because with the sounds i got it still worked and played out smoothly,  in conclusion i'm happy with how it turned out and i've learned that you can change your whole environment with just a few sounds.
